Come and join us for a special day celebrating the Summer Solstice and Father’s Day.

Andy, aka “The Rough Diamond Chef”, will be serving a delicious Spanish tapas menu cooked in the wood-fired oven. Vegetarian options are available — please mention any dietary requirements on the booking form.

Food will be served promptly at 3:00pm, so please arrive by 2:30pm to be seated.

A licensed bar will be open in the Dutch Barn, serving beers, wines, and selected spirits.

Weather permitting, food will be served outside on communal tables.

Internet permitting, the Spain vs Saudi Arabia World Cup match will also be screened from 5:00pm.

To Start:

Pinchos Morunos: Moorish spiced pork fillet skewers, dressed in Owl Lodge honey & lemon

Croquetas: Creamy béchamel sauce, field and forest mushrooms, GF flour & breadcrumbs, deep-fried

Pimientos de Padrón: Small green peppers fried in olive oil, sprinkled with Maldon sea salt, known for being mostly mild with a rare spicy one

Ensaladilla Rusa: A creamy potato salad, tuna, peas, & carrots.

Pan Tumaca: Sourdough bread or GF bread, toasted, rubbed with garlic, Isle of White tomatoes, olive oil, Maldon sea salt

Main Courses:

Albonigigas: Pork & beef meatballs, saffron tomato sauce, Manchego cheese

Pollo Romesco: Wood oven roasted chicken thighs, thyme, garlic, almond & hazelnut sauce

Gambas al Ajillo: Shrimp sizzling in olive oil, packed with garlic, parsley & chili

Dessert

Crema Catalana:  Translates literally to “Catalan cream”. It is a traditional Spanish dessert from the Catalonia region, consisting of a rich, egg yolk-based custard infused with citrus and cinnamon, topped with a crisp, torched layer of caramelized sugar. It is widely considered Spain’s answer to French crème brûlée. Served with an almond & anise biscuit.
